Thank you to our Sponsors!
Please help us achieve our goal of matching a dollar-for-dollar grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board. All event proceeds go to fund grants to local artists for projects benefiting the entire community, scholarships for local arts students and funding more events to raise awareness for the arts.
CBAC’s Art on the Bay annual fundraiser has moved from last year’s Midsummer’s Night woodland enchantment to the city for a Black and White Masked Ball! Truman Capote hosted the first in November of 1966 in New York City’s Plaza Hotel. Capote, acutely aware of the many forces that divide us, intended to provide an opportunity for people to come together across these divisions and to learn from, and of, one another.
We invite you to participate in the creation of a local celebration of commonality and diversity. You can come as a person in attendance at Capote's event, as someone who you think should have been there, a person who should be at a 2019 event, or come as your diverse self. The event will feature theme-related installations by local artists and the work of local artists FOR SALE as Gallery Items, a new feature this year. Capote said, “I have thought for years that it would be interesting to bring disparate people together and see what happens.” We invite you to come see what happens; to come be what happens! We promise it will be lovely and better still if you are there!
The event will showcase spontaneous and participatory entertainment, theme-related installations by local artists, on-site mask creation, professional portrait photo booth, delectable and generous food offerings, beer and wine for purchase, a wine pull, silent auction, gallery items and more!
